New Alpha Release Ver A0.1.7


Hi to all my favorite Digital Bits out there.

EightBits here with an update.

Game - Ver A.0.1.7


*Esc will pause / un-pause but it's a black screen*




**GAME**

- Checkpoint system has been added (not full save)

- Potions now have a text box talking about what they are.

- Torches in room 0 (flame is moving quickly) Adjusted - 8fps w/ 16frame loop

- torches in level 1, need added to the light source. 

- health potion needs a sound effect

- Fixed some chest not showing correctly

- GUI was showing offset by text box. 

- MiniBoss room barrel visual assets and interactable objects added

- Locked chest keys now need to be found

- Background story has started to be added into the game. 


**Menus**

- text boxes starting from menus


**Sprites**

- MiniBoss shows directional sprites (left, right, up and down)

(Mini Boss does not have the final sprite assigned yet)

- obj_desk_stone ( shows chat box)

- Update to the text box sprite image

- Ceiling tile over door walkways - abandoning 


**Enemies**

- MiniBoss long range attack now shows meteor /fireball with animations/particle trail

- MiniBoss shows the idle animation 

- MiniBoss sword attack goes in the direction of player

- MiniBoss sword attack hurts player

- fixed a few odds and ends on enemy walking paths

**Player Enhancements**

- delay in a enemy attack to the player (player is now transparent/invincible for a few seconds after each hit from the enemy)

- Increased hearts to 8

- Player showing twice after dyeing, now resolved


**Level**

- redid the direction of the player from the bottom level. Now goes through 3 small levels as you go up to the top floor. 

- layer on bottom of level 1 for walls is lower than the player


** BUGS / Mechanics issues / Suggestions***

- Game Controller Support

- Light suface is blocking help menu sequence.

- escape menu (conflicts with light system)

- save feature (Checkpoints work)

- level completion speed run

- Game - volume control

- Text clip on browser version- needs verified

- all doors need an opened sprite image. 

- doors that open by hitting E

- bug check - wood door in test opens wrong

- New image for Checkpoint

- Big barrel needs shadow update

- text on story menu make bigger

- Fallen Hero messages

- when going back to room 1 from 1b passage. it places you back at start of level. 

- golden doors on level top level are moving with an animation

- * Light sources on Tower 1 not working properly
